Will Lee

Will Lee was an American actor with a prolific career in film and television. Born in 1908, he established himself as a versatile performer, taking on a wide range of roles in various productions. Although his film work spanned multiple genres, Lee's most enduring legacy lies in his work on the small screen.

Lee's most iconic role was that of Mr. Hooper, the original proprietor of Hooper's Store on the beloved children's show Sesame Street. As one of the four original human characters, he appeared on the program from its debut in November 1969 until his passing. Lee's portrayal of Mr. Hooper became an integral part of the show's fabric, and he remained a fixture on Sesame Street until his death on December 7, 1982, at the age of 74.
