Rachel Chernos Lin is a Canadian politician who has held various roles in public service. She currently serves as a Toronto City Councillor, representing Ward 15 Don Valley West, a position she secured through a by-election on November 4, 2024. Prior to her appointment to the city council, Chernos Lin was actively involved in education policy as a trustee for the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), initially elected in 2018 to represent Ward 11 and re-elected in the 2022 municipal election.

Chernos Lin's tenure as a school trustee was marked by significant initiatives, including her leadership in the TDSB's decision to join a class-action lawsuit against social media companies due to concerns over the potential negative impact of their products on students. She was also elected as the chair of the TDSB on November 15, 2022. In addition to her work in politics and education, Chernos Lin serves on the board of directors of the Canadian Film Centre.
