Pat Smear

Pat Smear is a renowned American guitarist, born in 1959. His music career spans multiple notable bands, with his earliest claim to fame being as the lead guitarist and co-founder of the Los Angeles-based punk band The Germs. Smear's versatility and talent also led him to become a rhythm guitarist for the iconic band Nirvana. Following the disbandment of Nirvana, Smear's path crossed with another influential band, Foo Fighters, which was formed by Nirvana's drummer Dave Grohl.
Smear initially joined Foo Fighters as a guitarist but left the band in 1997. However, his association with Foo Fighters did not end there. He rejoined the band in 2005 as a touring guitarist, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career with the band.
