Isaac ben Moses of Vienna, also known as Isaac Or Zarua or the Riaz, was a prominent 13th-century Austrian rabbi. Born likely in Bohemia, he lived between 1200 and 1270, gaining recognition for his scholarship in Vienna. As a member of the Ashkenazi Hasidim, he studied under esteemed scholars such as Eliezer ben Joel HaLevi, Judah ben Samuel of Regensburg, Samson of Coucy, and Eleazar of Worms.

Isaac ben Moses of Vienna's most notable contribution to Judaism is his halachic guide, Or Zarua, a comprehensive compilation of halachic decisions and legal rulings. This work achieved significant popularity among Ashkenazic Jewry, solidifying his position as a leading rabbinic figure of the Middle Ages. Notably, he was also a teacher to the influential Meir of Rothenburg, further highlighting his importance in the transmission of Jewish knowledge and tradition during this period.
